Exciting Changes Coming to Our Trash and Recycling Services!
Dear Grand Mission MUD No. 2 Residents,
We are pleased to announce that starting July 1, 2024, Best Trash, LLC will be our new solid waste collection provider. This change is part of our continuous effort to provide the most efficient and reliable waste management services to our community.
What This Means for You:
- Collection Days: Trash will continue to be collected on Mondays and Thursdays.
- Recycling will be collected on Mondays.
- New Bins: Residents will receive two new carts from Best Trash:
- A 95-gallon trash cart (black container with a red lid)
- A 65-gallon recycling cart (green container)
Please begin using your new carts on July 1, 2024. Do not use the new carts before this date. Leave your existing recycle bins at the curb until they are collected.
Service Details:
- Holiday Schedule: Please note that July 4, 2024, is a holiday and there will not be any trash collection. Service will resume on Monday, July 8, 2024.
- Heavy Trash and Special Collections: Heavy trash collection will continue as usual. For larger items or special pickup requests, Best Trash offers additional services. Details can be found on our website or by contacting customer service.
Recycling Efforts:
We continue to encourage recycling and appreciate your efforts in separating recyclables from regular waste. Remember to remove all caps, liquids, and food products from containers before recycling.
Important Reminders:
- Please ensure that all waste is placed at the curb by 7:00 AM on your designated collection days.
- Items such as dirt, rocks, bricks, and hazardous materials cannot be collected. For a full list of non-collectible items and other restrictions, please visit our website.
